T1 M1 Obsidian Harness will work in both the Lamborghini Huracan and second-generation Audi R8. We offer two versions, one with a shorter harness that can be terminated into the extra CAN connector on our BPC Single to Dual Harness, and one that is designed to run directly to the ECU.

For the R8, we mount the module under the center console here:

The plastic portion of the interior paneling can be cut here to allow the module to sit securely flat on the tunnel itself. You can see the outline below of what will need to be removed:

Once you are able to fit the module in this area, orient it correctly, and use 3M VHB double sided tape to attach it to the chassis. It is critical that this is mounted very securely to the chassis. Do NOT use Velcro or any type of vibration isolators.   The harness can be routed under the same plastic trim panel that was just modified all the way back to the firewall grommet on the passenger side and into the engine bay:

The Huracan application is a bit easier. We can simply mount the Obsidian behind the driver seat under the back shelf panels:

Simply route the harness over to the same grommet on the passenger side firewall as the R8.

For those wiring the harness to the ECU, please see the picture below (click to enlarge).  Harness “1” will connect to the Obsidian module inside the car and run through the passenger side grommet outlined previously. It has been crimped with the DTM pins already but left unterminated from the connector. You will terminate this after feeding it through the grommet.

Harness “2” will mate to the DTM you just terminated before populating in the M1 ECU. The ECU side terminals have been crimped and just need to be terminated. Your four wires to terminate are as follows:

Ground, black wire, E08

Switched 12v, red wire, E01

CAN LO, green wire E32 (CAN1 on ECU)

CAN HI, yellow wire, E33

If you already had the CAN wires being utilized, we have wired in a 2-pin DTM mating connector which you will now use for the previous CAN connection. A mating DTM connector is included for you to convert your MoTeC pins to DTM. In the harness picture above you will see harness “3” which is the BPC harness we sell for our fuel systems. You can see the CAN HI and LO wires are terminated with the MoTeC pics, which clearly won’t terminate into the DTM on the Obsidian harness. We have shown how the BPC harness will mate to the Obsidian once terminated on harness “4”.
