The GT1R Dual Pump BPC Harness is very similar to the single pump harness, but incorporates a second fuel pump control module as well. When converting your single pump harness to a dual pump version, it's a very straight forward update. The GT1R Single to Dual Pump Conversion Harness can be seen below, with numbers identifying the individual components/harnesses which we will address in this instructional write-up.
Some interior removal will be required, and will depend on your BPC mounting location. The installation will be easier if you remove the passenger seat, passenger side kick panel trim, glove box, passenger side rear seat bottom panel, and passenger side interior rear quarter panel trim piece. Please disconnect the battery before performing any electrical work.
The power wiring is done identically to the single pump harness, with one minor change. The second fuel pump control module needs it's own power and ground wires, so we are stacking the power wire (2) on top of the 4ga main power wire on the BPC, using a provided longer bolt and aluminum spacer, as you can see below. The standard flat washer and beveled spring washer will still be used, as they are on all of the ring terminals on the BPC: :
We have included a new DB15 serial cable (6) which will replace your entire single pump version, from the OE Nissan fuel pump control module wiring to the BPC. Remove the harness resembling harness 6 in the picture above from your setup, and replace with the new unit. The remainder of the single to dual pump harness will all install inside the passenger rear quarter panel trim panel, as you see below:
With the same overall picture from above it's easy to see how things connect and mount:
The second fuel pump control module (1) will be mounted on the chassis using the supplied velcro and you can see it's corresponding harness 3 is run over to the fuel hat, where it will need to be terminated into both of the six-pin connectors on your existing wire harness. Use the guide below to see where these four wires need to be terminated:
The second control module ground wire (4) will be locally grounded, which you can see.
If not already connected, connect both ends of the single wire harness between the two modules, connector 5.
Connector 7 should replace the identical connector that was unplugged when you removed the single pump version of harness 6. This is the CAN communication connector to the M1 ECU.
There will be wiring that needs to take place for inside the tank to convert to dual pumps. The wiring guide above shows you everything that needs to be done, pay careful attention to the pin out as it isn't the same between ends.
